Today I got my baby back with the new clutch and flywheel... took her out for a spin to break in the clutch. Then my friend and i met up at a park where the 1/4 mile is marked off. His Prelude has AEM exhaust and K&N filter, 18" rims, racing tires and is dropped an inch. My SVT (see signature) Took him 2 of 3 times... The first time i had a bad launch , getting used to the clutch and lost by about 4 or 5 feet. @cd time i blew him away right off won by about a car length and the 3rd time we both hit good launches and I took him by about half a car. Thought I'd share how supposed top of the line tricked out imports still can't top a SVT laugh wink

I raced a type SH but on the highway. I wanted to see how fast this car was with all the stickers that said NITTO, japanese writing, and raspy exhaust. Anyway, i waited for him to catch up so he passed me. We ran from 80 -140,(my cars prime) and caught him and passed him no problem. The honda wasn't slow, and i only have a KKM.

You should take it easy on the clutch for a couple hundred miles. Other than that, a Prelude is a good competitor. Nice kill.

Coincidentally, my roommate recently bought a 97 type SH 5 spd w/around 50k on it. They are very nice cars btw. One day, we went out on some country roads and ran my 98 SVT against him. He's not the best driver but....I took him off the line with a beautiful launch (on Blizzaks) and had him by a 1/4 car length. Then, around 65-70 mph, he pulled on me. Don't know why. The preludes are always a close race for an SVT. The non SH is actually quicker because it does not have ATTS. Anyways, I will tear him with my GSC's on now! smile

I raced my buddies '00 Lude SH, he's not the best driver- with clutch anyway, and I beat him by like half a car length to 60. laugh

friend of mine had an SH. drove it around for a day, we also FUBAR'ed it to the tune of 5K checking it cornering limits (i think we found them).
i think the interior is good, clean, simple but well put together. Wouldnt even consider it in comparison to the CSVT though. They are good performers, real close all the way round. i think the only time i would want the SH, however, is when when it comes time to sell my car. laugh resale and all...
