This is not a help question, but a survey. I had to replace my tranny at 124,000 miles. How many of you have gotten this far without any tranny problems and how many have not gotten this far without any. I would like to know to see if this is a descent mileage to have a tranny failure. Any failures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Chef Paul

Only 86K on my '96 SE ATX and it began leaking from the right axle seal. Upon further inspection it was determined that the bushing was also bad. To make a long story short, it ended up being completely rebuilt. Now I hope to get more than 86K from the new trans with a little TLC, i.e. regular fluid changes.

98 zetec auto trans with 134k. No leaks shifts firm, flush yearly. Did do one strange thing. Wife said it downshifted on its own. She was at 55-65 mph and she said it was like going clear into second, different from kicking it out of OD. Been fine since. This bragging will curce me you watch!!
