Hey there, just painted this cover (below the valve cover) and I dont know what its called... lol. I used a 3-step paint, that consists of a base metalic paint, a luminescent blue flake, and a clear. I think it looks awesome. I am using the same paint on my calipers later this week. It is rated a 600º heat treated. Should look great!

What do you guys think?

I will have some install pics later today when it dries! lol

The paint looks amazing. But great job on painting the threads of the bolts. Now that paint is going to get all junked up in the joint when you tighten them down!

Paint on the threads will act like an adhesive similar to patches. Usually when the threads have some sort of junk on the threads will act as a type of seal for a permanant fasten. Clean threads will ensure you that you'll be able to remove and replace the screws. You just dont need the prevailing torque trust me!

The white paint on my engine cover is flacking off. I thought that about doing what you have done here.

Does the kit come with 3 cans of paint or was it a all in one spray?

This one I used here comes with 3 cans in a kit, you can also get the chameleon colors too... very neat looking. They also make one called matalisc or something, that has a base coat and a colored finish coat... for 6.99 each bottle. Great paint, heat resistant, easy to do... (takes 30 mins between base and color) and each coat should dry 5-10 mins. Then when done, let it dry for an hour or 2.

dupoint or durapaint or something is the brand..

WORD! I'm up in the air whether to buy the CF IMRC cover, or just buy a plain one from a junkyard.
