I did a search, but I'm not 100% sure I found what I needed.

1999 Mystique V6 Auto:-

Air will blow cold when on regular blower settings
When set to AC or MAX AC air is warmer.
Regular blower (e.g. Panel or Floor) is very cold, just like it should be.

Going to see if I can check the pressure tonight/tomorrow sometime, so no info on that yet.

Any ideas ?

Thanks.

P.S.

Anyone got a diagram of AC system, or pics at all, would be appreciated.

Wow, those links have absolutely nothing to do with the question he asked...

I have the same problem w/ my AC, but haven't really looked into it yet, I will let you know if I find anythign out.

Oh really? Seems like the... "Either the switch itself is dead, or the resistor pack is blown. Either way, they are both covered under recalls." Might help him. I would have the recalls performed if they have not & go from there. Both links pertain to parts of the HVAC system.

Thanks for the info, I'll check these out, after getting AC pressure checked too (probably Friday now).

Heater Fan only blows high - Works the same on all the settings.
Air only from defrost vents - Air will blow from all vents.

All these seem to refer more to the direction of air, rather than the temperature.
Thanks for the info though, they're added to the list now.

When running on AC, MAX AC, or Defrost I also don't feel nor hear the compressor kick in. What would cause this?

There are about a dozen items that will cause the compessor to not engage.

These include: Refrigerant charge, pressure switches, relays, clutch, PCM, HVAC head unit, fuses, and ANY of the interconnecting wires or connectors.

The AC should NOT run when on Panel, Floor, or Panel/Floor.
Only on AC, MAX AC, and DEF

its been a long time since i have done anything with hvac but iirc ac, ac max and defrost are the only settings that use the compressor on our cars. the rest of the settings only use the blower. that being the case one would suspect being in canada your blower would move some pretty cold air. so that works fine. as for the ac system unless you have a friend who knows what he is doing you might want to get one of those ac system inspections. around my area they run about $40-$50. from what i remember you might be low on freon, the compressor could be shot...
