Hi Everyone..

Quick question..

On the 1998.5 SVT I am Getting.. Does not have a dash clock. I think it was just a LED light for the alarm and the script Contour .. Pretty sure the E0 Models I looked at had a clock .

My question is did they lose the clock for the 98.5 model.

I don't understand your question at all.
It is like a question and statement all rolled into one.

Are you asking should a 98.5 have a clock?
If so, the answer is no.

Hearing 1998 being referred to as "old car" bothers me ... not sure whey ...

The 1998.0 SVT ("E0" around here) had the clock, and that was it. All 1998.5 through 2000 had the cheap "Contour" plate.

Be glad it doesn't have he clock; at least it's not being misrepresented. I've seen many people selling their E0's refer to them as the E1 (1998.5) to try and get that "it's a newer car" feeling, or just idiots that don't have a clue what they're talking about (log onto contour.org, read that a 1998.5 existed, and decide theirs is one when in fact it isn't).

(Yes, I know they can be added to later cars, but I'm talking about SVTs that have full-fledged E0 apparel: non-flat ding strips, E0 wheels, clock, etc.)

No Question there. Just a Statement.

Before you all tear me apart lol I changed it.
Sorry my apologies I Did not know it was referred to as an â??E0â? Now I know. And I like it better myself with the clock rather then just the plate. Thanks for the fast reply lol

oy - clarification after I answered, haha!

1998.0 ("E0"): clock, 195hp.
1998.5 ("E1"): no clock, 195hp.
1999-2000: no clock, and some crazy dash warp but 200hp.

I'm getting a bit off topic here, but I witnessed the effects of prolonged dash warp with my friend's 2000 SE. She was in Tailand between January-March, and somehow between now and then (when the car sat) it did some insane curling. The plastic vent cover now slides around and is easily removeable, rather than just sticking up at the ends like it used to.
