Hi, I went out and looked at my car today for idea's on where to mount a B&M Trans cooler.

(99 Contour SE 2.0 Zetec)

Please correct me if i am wrong here. From under the vehicle i see the radiator, the condensor and what i believe is a small trans cooler .

It is in front of everything and looks like it is connected to 2 lines going to the tranmission. The part looks as follows, the 2 lines are connected to what looks like a 2 pass thingy, lol. It has 1 tube that curves around to a tube with fins on it.

So basically, a finned tube- curve -tube under that to the tranny lines.

Is this an after market tranny cooler or a stock one? Or is it even a tranny cooler at all?

Please help, i am very confused about this.

What you are actually looking at is the power steering cooler, the trans coolers for the contour is built into the radiator. I mounted the trans cooler on the drivers side, I had to squeeze the thing to get it between the radiator support and condensor but it fit. Twelve thousand miles and I havent had any leaks or problems with the placement.

Heh... you're from Waukesha. My ex g/f back in Iowa's brother lived there... found out I could make it from near Davenport to Waukesha in my 90 Sentra on 1/2 of gas (that's like 6 gallons, btw). On a seperate trip made it from Waukesha back home in 2.5-3 hrs doing 90-95 the whole way back (in my 89 Grand Prix).

Took me a couple trys to be able to say 'Waukesha' correctly.
