I have an ad for my rims in the classifieds. I received to emails asking if they were still for sale. The first email, the guy seems to ignore my questions. I got a second today. I thought it was pretty strange when both emails either ended or started with the word "Regards." Who talks like that? So what Im wondering if this is part of that scam?

i just read somewhere on this site ( might have been sleeperz...not to sure) that said that exact same phrase and iirc, it was a scam. when they say that they will send u a money order and for u to send back the balance of the money...something like that...its a scam. theres something that they do to end up screwing you in the end

I figured it was. I didnt think anything of it with the first one, but then I did when I got the second one. Damn, I got a lil excited and thought the rims were gonna be sold and gone.

it is a scam and it happens all too often on the ceg classifieds. read this thread

They send you 5000 ish, you send them the difference back through western union (say 4000). Their check bounces, and you're out 4000.
