Has anyone thought about doing a turbo on our cars vs. the supercharger or 3L? Cause I have a 95SE and I heard the 3L doesn't match up or something like that. But a turbo would be nice, just to bump up the PSI, then drop it down when not needed. What would the possibilities of this be, and how hard do you think installing one would be as well, or finding someone to do it?

Depends on whether you have a Zetec or Duratech. They make a turbo kit for the zetec. You could probably fab one up for the Duratech if you know what you're doing (which I don't). I think several people on this board are trying too though.

I have the V-6 Duratec, for those who ask.

Doing a turbo setup on the V6 would be an extremely expensive and time consuming task.

You would have to custom fabricate all the parts (manifolds, intake, intercooler, piping, fuel injection, PCM, etc)

Plus if you have a 00 (or late model 99) you are even worse off since it's a returnless fuel system.

So basically unless you are a turbo guru (and if you were you wouldn't be posting asking about it) don't even think about it!
