I have 96 tour with 169000mi and a bad engine (didnt survive blown head gasket) I love the car and want to fix it but have found a 95 Tour with only 77,000mi and im thinking about buying it and using my broke down one for parts. Coicidently enough it is the same color as my broke down one in and out. But It doesnt have power windows or locks
My question is will the power doors from my 96 operate on the 95 even though the current doors on the 95 are not equipped? The twist lock connector looks the same as does the hinges. I know that some 95s came with pw/pl, would it be as easy as changing the door and having it work? Or do the locks and windows operate through the computer and due to the OBDI vs. OBDII would they not work?
