Want good brakes for a reasonable price? Try Stazi brake kits - rotors & all. I bought two sets for my Contours.

PM Stazi for pricing on your application. Check the stickies above for more info & testimonials.

Don't confuse good stock type replacement parts with a true upgrade kit. Stazi's stuff is just good replacement parts; the Wilwood (TCE) and Baer kits are actually larger calipers and rotors and are true "upgrade" kits.

I often define the alternate rotor, new pads and ss hoses packages as a 'brake enhancement' because that's what they do. They make the best of stock items. Or nearly stock if you reference a slightly larger rotor perhaps.

On the other hand the BBK market is more clearly defined by the fit of multi piece hats/rootrs, alternative calipers- either fixed or floating, and usually alum bodied. Also included are the common hoses and pads etc.

Not that everyone needs the second level. But a BBK is generally comprised of larger items for both more mass, less weight and more durable use. Some are also more flexible in sizing, caliper offerings and pad choices than the enhancement kit.

thanks for your input. i did some research on the willwood brakes, there lighter and are a 4 piston caliper. the bear seem like a better braking system but there only a 2 piston caliper. and i have noticed something about floating but not sure what advantages or differences there are.

If you are just concerned about warp, get the Stazi kit. No warp, no dust, low fade. Stock size brakes should have enough guff for anything off-track, with good pads. He uses good rotors that will not warp if installed properly. Add SS hoses for better feel, and a YTE super blue flush/bleed, and they will feel like new. Well, they will be new. But I don't think you should have any problem hitting the ABS with stock replacements.

Just as an alternate opinion. I have slotted/drilled rotors (mostly for asthetics),EBC greenstuff pads, SS hoses, and synpower fluid and my brakes are rediculous. I used to have G-tech results on braking but i dont have them anymore. The EBC's are amazing, but can squeek some on you and they produce a lil more dust than I'd like. My friend (an avid autocrosser) was so impressed that he bought EBC's for his talon TSi. One wierd thing about them is they work better after some good hard braking. I'm not talking about when you first drive it after it sat around and let the rotors junk up, but you could be driving around all day and the more you get on the brakes the better they work.

Just my two cents
