hey guys, im getting an amp and sub next week, and i was curious, the wiring shouldnt be too hard, LOL, but in terms of where to actually PHYSICALLY mount the amp, i like the look where the amp is mounted against the side of the trunk, sorta like this:



How would i go about doing this?

ok this is what i call ghetto redneck engeneering
i did it this way because no matter how many people told me to drill and mount the amp to the car i don'y feel safe drilling into my baby so i wraped some wire around one of the metal peaces of the car in that area and punched a whole in the carpet for the wire and stuff to go through

it works really well this way its been this way for 8 months
(or whenever i decided to get a sub for the car)

I mount from the rear.

Here mine. I think I still have the drawing and demensions of it if you want.

plus my family likes to use my trunk when i drive them places to haul cloths to the laundry place to wash there clothes

so putting a big rack and all the other stuff to make it look nice it not a option because it would probly get messed up or stolen

Its so heavy that it doesn't tip over. When the trunk closes, the trunk arms go in between the amp and the fuseholder, so it wont tip.

LOL, nice improvise there with the coathanger, still looks good in my view, i just need a "how to" as to how to mount it there please and thank you. i would imagine mount a board to the wall and then mount the amp to the board would be pretty easy.. :-S famous last words
