i need the inserts for the screws for the license plate. 3 are broken out, and 1 is all rusted up, and the ford dealer can't order any because they can't find the part number ion their database. I was pulled over 2 days ago for not having my license plate in the correct place and received a warning citation, i have to drive to work, and military police are pricks, so i need to get tjis fixed, the local junkyards dont have any so far that i have seen and am not sure where else to look.

Mine did the same thing too. My fix was to cut out larger holes where the screws go. Then fill them up with fiberglass. Before it hardened, I insterted the appropriate size nuts and umbrella screws in the position it goes to.

DAMN!! You just have no luck, my friend.....How about mickey mousing something with epoxy...let it harden and then drill it out to the diameter of the screw??

Have you checked you local autoparts store? There is a line of stuff called "HELP" with commonly looked for little bit and pieces that are often universal parts.

I've taken a small screwdriver (phillips) and hammer to drive out the little things that the screws go in. They are pressed in the plastic, so just a bit of force and they pop out.
Next you can get some bolts/nuts that fit thru the hole left and there ya go... it's held on.
