Alright I'm in the process of putting an extrude honed SVT UIM on the Cougar and I've run into a slight problem. The little gold tube on the underside of the intake manifold is missing on our SVT, how do I get the old one out of the stock manifold so I can use it?

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.

They are press fit.

I would add a touch of silicone around it when you reinstall it since a presh fit item is never quite as tight the second time.

2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

It will take a gentle demeaner & patience as it is a bent pipe & you don't want to bend/damage or otherwise distort the replacement tube.

If all else fails, you may be able to tap & die a new inlet, put a MPT adaptor on the end of a short length copper pipe from the hardware store. That would be a bit tricky too - because of the bend.

e-mail a picture of the SVT UIM. Maybe I can come up with another (better) idea.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
