Today i was getting some exhaust work done and when backing out of the stall the guy at the shop noticed that the muffler was moving like crazy when i put it into reverse and when it goes into drive, he thought it was bad engine mounts but when he went under to look at them he noticed that the rear one was missing the bolt! imagine my face, so my question is what where and how much to get a new bolt, and could i just use any bolt and nut or does the bolt like thread through the whole mount or does it simply slide through, i dont know if you understand but anyhelp is needed,

yes the bolt threads into the mount itself. unless one bolt was missing and the other was loose i don't think the mount would shift that much. i would not recommend just getting any bolt that fits as it may not have the same strength as the orignal and may breakoff in the mount which would be bad.
as for getting a replacement i would check at the dealership first and if they cant get you one hit up a junk yard.

also in the mean time what you could do is switch the bolt from the front of the mount to the rear spot of the mount and see if that helps

According To Most Of The Stealerships In My Town, The Bolt Cant Be Had Seperately...Bill Jenkins Would Be The Best Source Of Information On This Part. Also Check With SP Motorsports...If The Mount Is In Need Of Being Replaced You Might As Well Hit Them Up. They Sell The Mount Only (The Piece With The Rubber Insert) Seperate...Stealerships Are Averaging At About 102.00 Bones For The Assembly!! SP Is 70.00 Bones Average To Your Door. But Make Sure It Comes With The Bolt If You Go That Route...I Dont Remember. Its Been A Week Ago Since I Ordered Mine.

I've purchased the new mounting and center bolts from local dealers without any issues. Sounds like your stealers are just lazy. I think the center bolts are around $7, but you might be able to get a stronger (grade 9) from a nuts & bolts shop for less than that.
Last time I was at the parts desk, they said Ford discontinued the FRONT mount nuts (with the attached washers), but the other mount bolts were still being produced.

Figured As Much...I Thought It Could Possibly Be Ford's Built-In-Obsolescence Program...
