I think you already know the risks of a NOS shot gone bad. Worst case you blow the engine. NOS is a hard shock on the drivetrain, unless you set it up on a progressive shot. NOS makes a setup that add NOS progressively over a period of time (user programmed) so the power added is more linear (TURBO-like) and less chance of shocking the drivetrain. There are people running 100hp shots, just be careful.

Just call me Judge. People suck. Life begins at 170mph...until that point it is just boring.....

I am not here to brag or to put down others. However, he must pussy foot his car to only be running 6.6 second 0-60s and 14.7 1/4 miles with a 100 shot! A 50 shot will get the same results if driven right. In the right hands, his car's 0-60 should be at least 6.1 and his 1/4 mile should be at least 14.0-14.2 if not better. Where do I get off saying this? I use to have a ZEX kit, set on the 75 shot, on my Cougar. Right off the bat, I have a 25 shot disadvantage and 30 hp less NA. So, with my 55hp disadvantage, how did I manage an average 0-60 of 6.2 and an average 1/4 mile of 14.3? These are my averages! My best 0-60 was 5.9 and my best 1/4 mile was 14.1. Now, before you start asking for timeslips, I must note that these numbers where measured with a G-Tech. Still, how where his times measured? If he measured his 0-60 with a stopwatch, well then that explains everything. But, chances are that he used a G-Tech. Either way ... his numbers are not a true reflection of what a 100 shot system could do on a car already putting down 160-170hp to the ground NA. Not criticism, just an obviously overlook observation

I had a 100shot in my car and the best run I could get out of it was a 14.4 and my fastest run was a 14.7@99mph
On the other hand, Bito98 ran me down with a 14.1 with his SE running a 100shot
This was at Carlsbad raceway

I think that you backing my point ... 90% of racing is the driver. Your car is making more power ... no reason why you shouldn't beat him in the 1/4 mile if you are equal drivers. He is obviously shifting at optimal points and doing so much quicker.

fastcougar, Puff belongs to SVE at Ford, they were twisting axle shafts apart w/ the car. Also, the runs were probably done at milan dragway which is one of the worst tracks in the country as far as traction. A 1/4 run has just as much to do with the track as it does with the driver. for reference, svt2000 runs 15.4-15.5's at milan w/ his near stock svt, but at Norwalk he runs a 14.7 w/ the same setup.
It's all about balance.
