im new to the contour world and i just want to say this is a nice car!!!!!!!just bought a 1995 se with 51k on it and drove it hard today for the first time.......at 80 its like your not moving!!!! i know from the site things go wrong with this car but so far (two whole weeks)i like it.thanks again to all who put helpful info on here.

Cool. Welcome aboard Stooge. Those are good miles for a 95 with 51k. Tell us a little more about it. Again congratulations with your purchase. I hope you know to change the water pump becuase they have the plastic impeller and they usually go out at 60-70k. Get one with the metal impeller.

im still learning the lingo here..its electric red with ruby red interior.no modifications yet.spotless inside and out.tried to kick its a## today to see what ###### light would come on,but all went ok.yea i know about the water pump.bought a 3yr 36000mi plan that covers engine and trans...water pump half labor and parts.debating if i should change it or just wait.....i already explained situation to wifey if shes driving and temp pegs,DONT try to get home stop asap...going to talk to my mechanic to see if he can "fix"something under warranty that aint yet broke.its hard to explain but this 10 year old car is the most fancyiest car i ever owned..aint gonna bore you with life story .im just one of those guys who work and take care of the wife and 2 kids........like i said this site is GREAT.i tried to register but it says its still awaiting approval.uploaded some pics too.

If you can CHECK the oil on your car, you can change the WP for free.

25 minutes, TOPS (with the V6, at least.. phew..) and ~$70 for a newer WHITE PLASTIC impellar (stay away from the black plastic impellar..) or pick up a metal one from NAPA.. (~$70.00 as well...)

1999 Silver Frost SVT #609 of 2760 Quaife, lightened SVT Flywheel, SPEC stage II clutch, removed resonator, k&n drop in - various other goodies too.
