While replacing my spark plugs/wires last night (eliminated low RPM stumbling, for now), I noticed a broken part at the back of the UIM, and I can't figure out what it is. It is black, plastic, and has a round cap on top. Viewed from the front of the car, it is a few inches to the right of the ignition module. It bolts right into the back of the UIM.

So far, it is not affecting drivability, but I'd still like to know what it is so I can swap it out. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

It is your EGR Vacuum Regulator (EVR) Solenoid. This controls vacuum to your egr valve. The round cap has an air filter in it. These are not very expensive.
