I can get a 99SVT engine with the ECU for next to nothing. should i consider this swap? Or is it impossible?
what components do i need other than the ECU to get this engine to run in my OBD1 Tour.

Engine has to come off anyways to do a flywheel swap. my newly replaced starter grinds in 1 out of 3-5 starts and its a matter of time before it becomes 1 out of 1 start. I figure selling the old engine: SVT UIM mainfold, TB, new alternator... will pay half the labor.

and lastly could i get tbe MSDS headers to work with the 4 O2 sensors?

I better clarify the above statment: i meant strip the SVT UI manifold and other mods off the regular duratec engine that is on my car now and sell separatly to pay off some of the cost of the swap.

so what else do i need to swap into an OBD2 other than the ECU and the extra O2 sensors?

He can just leave it OBD I, right? I have a 98 engine in my 95, although a few components from the 95 engine are still on it.

wow didn't see that coming!

DemonSVT: could i still install the SVT engine and run it as OBD1? i would like to harness the extra 30hp from the SVT engine since this will be more worth while than all of my other mods that i have done to date.

95sleeper: what engine components did you have to swap? i would like to sell the old engine as a full motor if possible.

I didn't do it. I know the heads are the newer engine, but the UIM is older. I don't know why they left the old uim on, maybe it was easier to swap than everything attatched to it?

Might as well do a 3L. A lot cheaper and good luck finding an SVT motor w/o a spun bearing and low mileage.

This is a 95 Mystique w/ OBD-I. It's not pretty but this is his winter beater. Oh and it's an ATX too.
