Well, after fighting with my power tools all day yesterday, i succeeded in making my amp rack. it fits under the rear deck and doesn't block the opening for the fold-down seats. what a PITA to install, tho. i forgot that the 98s have the middle rear seat belt. working around that big hump in the trunk made the situation much more difficult. so, now i need to carpet the shelf and wire up the amps. i also installed the Polks in the doors yesterday. what a HUGE difference!

as for the sub boxes, i have given up on making them. i think i'm gonna find some sealed QLogic boxes instead...

and i also spent some time and about $30 at Home Depot to make some speaker stands for my home DVD system. it is an inexpensive Aiwa system i bought in March, but it sounds OK. i'll try and post pics for everything once the projects are all done.

and then no more DIY for me!
