This came off from the transmission on the driver side the mechanic said. It broke off when he had to lower the engine/transmission to install my new clutch. Went to Ford for this part and they have no idea what this is. Can anyone here help? What part number is this or a name? Its tiny and about 1/4 inch round. Thanks.

It looks like part of the gizmo that holds the shift cable onto the tranny.

There is a rod that you push the cable onto and it snaps into place. That looks like the outside part of the connection.

Good luck
