Greeting`s
I have a 1995 Contour with a Four Cylinder Five speed Standard Trans and I have an overheating problem, or I should say the guage say`s it`s overheating plus I have no heat in the car, in the past when this type of thing happened I just replaced the thermostat and was happy.
But with all this talk of failed water pumps(impeller failure) should I replace that(the water pump) and the thermostat?
BTW This car has 175 thou km`s on it`s speedo.
Thank`s` for any help

overheating guage + no heat from vents = no circulation through heater core.. ie, bad waterpump.

DONT run it anymore.. until you change that sucker out.
