The order was placed yesterday:

Pistons
Rings
Head gasket
Head bolt set
Oil pan gasket set

Some if it's already shipped (the gasket sets, I think). Goal is April 9th to have it together and ready to run.

Wish I could do all of that myself.

You can. Get the right tools, take your time, get some books and manuals, check and recheck everything, check and recheck everything, and check and recheck everything.

Dude, where have you been? You're never on Messenger anymore. Still working 60+ hour weeks?

When you get the head gasket...make sure it is the German made one. The other one tends to be less reliable.

I went ahead and honed out the cylinders today. Found a shop to ring my pistons and toss them on the rods. Cleaned up some of the mating surfaces, etc. etc.

I sure hope the parts all get here tomorrow as scheduled.

Okay, the cylinder head repair is complete. That's a long story, btw. It was a benign problem, but something I had to patch, nonetheless.
