Im just wondering i heard a rumor that u can swap the MTX75 out of a cougar and drop it in to a contour with little problem is this true and if so has any one done it and would they tell me how to?

They are identical.. an MTX-75 is an MTX-75 the mounting plates, etc, may be different while ON THE CAR (to line up with motor mounts, etc..) but once removed, the actual tranny is identical..
