Hey guys my ac/fan switch only works on the highest setting. I heard there was a recall for this. I never heard about this recall until I started reading the posts on this site. Can you guys tell me how to fix this problem or can I still take it in to the dealer. I have a 99 Contour SE.

So do the dealers usually have this part in stock? It sounds like a quick fix. IF there was a recall for this problem does that mean I can take it in?

After you fix that bug inspect the fuse that powers the A/C (internal) fan and system - a 30 amp circuit. It melts and sticks to the fusebox sometimes. The contacts are not designed to carry 30 amps for a long time.
