I'm looking to replace my a/d/s 310rs.2 (10" dvc) with a SVC 10 of similar or better quality. It will be mounted in a very solid sealed box with an internal volume of .933 Cubic Feet. Power will come from a Nakamich PA1002 bridged to produce 360W into a 4Ohm load.

I am into SQ not muddy boom boom.

PLease feel free to offer any opinons or suggestions.

Lambda PB $169

I think Dave has said the PB is the best sounding driver line and the power handling should be good for your amp.

That box is on the larger end volume wise. I don't think your amp is rated that high either! How much do you want to spend?

BTW, why no more a/d/s? Good luck

Try CRYSTAL CMP 10 maybe more than you need! or this cheap looking, great sounding CRYSTAL MobileSound 10" CSE

This is a hard to find NAKAMICHI SPW100 . one of the best sq out there at a rediculous price.

I can only suggest what I have owned/heard.

Price isn't really an issue. I want a SVC and a/d/s only offers DVC. The PA1002 is 100W x 2, when bridged it makes 200W x 1. You were right TonyD. Doh.

Hmmm, mabey I do need more power????????

I am driving a PB10 with a Planet Audio Tube hybrid, bridged its 160 watts, and its plenty, especially in my Elements enclosure...which is .66 cu ft.

100x2 at 8 ohm. It "should" double that into a 4 ohm load. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 360w x2.

I would second the Lambda PB10. Best SQ woofer I have ever heard ( the PB series in general, not just the 10).

where did you get the 100x2 @ 8 ohm's D? I must be missing something.

I never heard the PB but I wouldn't doubt all the accolades.

What about the A series from a/d/s? just a thought.

You can get this IDQ10D2 V.2 in Dual 2 ohm. These are great in the SQ depo as are these PPI Pro 10

Let us know what you decide.

OK, I'm now really confused. I want to start over. Here is a list of the gear I have:

NAK PA504
NAK PA1002
(2 pair) a/d/s 336im
1 a/d/s 310rs.2 (in a .933 cu.ft. sealed box)

I have considered all kinds of stuff, like ditching the 336's for a single pair of 346is' in the front doors driven from the 1002. and (4) 8's driven of the 504 in the rear deck. :p

OK gurus - make suggestions, all are welcome, including gear changes. SQ is the goal. I like tight fast punchy bass. speakers must be a/d/s and I'd like to keep the NAKs bu would exchange them for a/d/s amp(s).

Trapps, why do you want rid of your sub? Could it be your box is a little big?

Your equipment is all top notch. I would not go with 4 8's. I would go with 2 8's or 2 10's for sq purpose. I have 2 8's and they are solid!

Your amps and speakers are fine too. I think your problem might be in your x-over setting.

These are some of my choices.

8" subs

Crystal mobile (must call directly, limited)
PPI PRO8

10" subs
Nakamichi SP-W104
Nakamichi SP-W100
Crystal CSE 10.4
Crystal CMP 10
PPI Pro10

These are only subs that I have heard and can suggest. As you know without the proper install they will all sound like a$$. Good luck.

Personally I think your system has great potential but may just need some adjustment. Listen to a friends system and compare. BTW, what HU do you have?

Cheers
