Okay.. Price-wise, i'm willing to spend about $200 for a pair.. shipping is always not included.... but anyways, i need a good midbass. I'll be putting my tweeter up soon in the dash, but i need something to compensate. Especially for what i've got. Anyways, i'm gonna be using EPX2 for crossing over the frequencies. I will also be biamping the tweeters, and the midbass. What i've got right now is the MBquart 8" coaxials up front in kickpanels. I don't have enough midbass because it's not in an enclosure. The vocals are extremely loud and clear. Well anyways, i just need a suggestion. Any help will do.
Also, i don't have to spend 200 for the pair. I just want something good.. even if it's $2 a pair. thanks

How about the Vifa M18WN-19-04 for $50/each. Speaker City USA Or, the Peerless CSX 165 C for $38.50/each. Or, this Focal 7" Mid-Bass. Just throwing out some suggestions.

I have the Peerless CSC-X and they are great, especially at that price. The cone materials make it very fast in transients, sharp and clear sounding. Vifa's are treated paper, like the Morels I have also, which are more geared (to my ears) to acoustic music, Jazz, etc. They did go a bit lower basswise.
The SEAS Lotus would provbably be a pair that you would never have a need or desire to upgrade. But unless you have an amp that you are 100% happy and sure your getting the most quality amplification, I dont think it would be worth it,,,I started thinking about those once i heard my system thru the McIntosh amp.

The seas lotus won't be found any cheaper than what you see at madisound.
The Scanspeak 21W/5555 would be my choice in that price range, but its an 8" driver.

The Scanspeak 21W/5555 would be my choice in that price range, but its an 8" driver. Does the the ability of the driver to play midrange decrease with the increase in diameter ( which i assume helps the lower freq.)?

In general, the larger the diameter the poorer the midrange production.
Good choice on the Seas.
