Okay, here's the deal. I like punk music, so as you can understand I really am not that interested in having a very powerful audio system. I don't want to have to buy an amp. Right now my CD player says it can output 4 x 45 watts. I'm assuming the speakers I have now are not 45 watts, cause they sound really wimpy. What type of speakers would you recomend I replace the stock speakers with? I just want better sound really. Any suggestions?

almost any aftermarket speakers will sound better than stock...i have infinity 5x7 in front and polk 5x7 in rear,and they sound great with my clarion 45x4 head unit..i got both sets of speakers on ebay paid $30 including shipping for the infinity's,and $23 for the polks...but any name brand 5x7 or 6x8 should do the trick for you...

just buy a pair of 6x9s but make sure they are shallow enough to fit, trim the front doors and stick em in. a 3 way decent pair of 6x9s should give you more than enough volume, clarity and a little added bass, but in about as simple of an addition as you can get (short of just getting a good pair of 6x8s or 5x7s, which as people already said, would work fine)

when shopping for this size sometimes its tricky to find though, thats another reason i suggested 6x9
