From all accounts I've heard, it's a good sub. There's just a lot of subs out there around that mounting depth. I think that even finding a used one would be challenging too.

Oh! I didn't understand your post. I thought you were just referring to the PPI as a possibility, not that you found a used one. My bad.

I received the TS Parameters for the Lanzar NEO10 sub today, and I think I'm going to give it a try.
Here are the TS Parameters if anyone wants to check my calculations or help me decide between ported or sealed.
FS = 33
QMS = 4.09
QES = 0.35
QTS = 0.33
SPL = 89
VAS = 1.76

The PPI 10" flat piston sub was very nice.

I have some experience with the Vifa sub (299-229) that someone posted. This is a nice speaker but it needs a fairly big box (2.5+ cuft) to work decently.
Have you considered looking at a premium 8" instead of a 10" speaker. An 8" in a properly sized box is going to work as well or better than a 10" in an undersized enclosure.
Look at some of the higher end Phoenix Gold stuff, although I don't know if any of these might meet you mounting depth requirements.
