To me the old school wheel on the new mustang look cheap - like you ran out of money. It's like when you se kids rolling on really cheesy fugly wheels cos they can't afford decent ones or something. Even thouhg the car is "retro" it can pull off better looking tuner wheels. I'd like to see the new mustang with the multi-spoke Cobra wheels they brought out on the last Cobra, buyt they have to be big at least 19/20" for sure.

The key word here is "like you ran out of money". I didn't run out of money, but did have a budget Stazi. I spent a little over $2K for my new tires/wheels, not braggin', just statin' I will apply what I learned from my Tour and that is this, pick the right wheel first instead of (3) sets of aftermarket rims IMO the "tuner-style" rims you guys speak of look good only if your using a bodykit, like the one in the pic as it adds the "modern look" your talkin' about. As far as the color combo goes, well, I may pick the white w/red stripes so I can keep my red interior, we shall see!

And all that is after about a dozen updates to the ECU that Mazda has released that have improved mileage. Single-digit mileage was pretty normal when the RX-8 first came out, even though the EPA sticker still said 18/25.

1) you are taking everyone that B%#^&* on RX8 club about the mileage as your test group, not the best place to be looking..

2) I get around 15mpg on a 3 mile trip each way to and from work with about 6 stop lights (mine was built very early).

3) If you really think a car that redlines at a bit over 9k is going to get good gas mileage, you're looking at the wrong car.

And so this post isn't a complete hijack, I agree with the red vs blue stripes Roger!

The closest thing to a bodykit my car will have is the 3 piece "ductail" spoiler from classic design concepts or the one Steeda sells and the chin spoiler from classic design concepts. Once again I'll be applying my "factory aftermarket" look to the car, meaning it could've looked that way if the factory offered some choices I'm about 6 weeks away and so far I've got the tires/wheels, stock V6 Mustang rear chrome piece (running horse infront of red/white/blue flag) and some interior pieces from Steeda/ARD, so I guess you can say I'm getting there

I like the blue with white, though the red and white does look cool to, I'd take either.
Car looks good, good luck with it.
