hey guys, I was/am in the market trying to find a nice low mileage 99-00 svt contour. I was in the process of selling my cars to go buy one I looked at locally but by the time I sold them, the guy had already sold the car

anyway, the only other one I found was over on cobb parkway at a used car lot and that poor thing is on it's last leg.

Anyone in/around atlanta, ga or charleston, sc (heading home this weekend to visit family) know where any are for sale at with low miles, little/no mods, and no 3rd gear problems?

I've looked on autotrader, ajc.com and charleston-net for cars and dont see anything.

Anybody seen any while they've been out and about??

Hey, there's a black 98 SVT at a used car place in Moncks Corner that I saw today. It's really nice looking. I didn't get to test it unfortunately, but it's worth a look. It's really nice though. Not sure of the mileage and all cause I was there with a friend looking for a car for her and that she's unable to drive a manual because of her back or she would have had me test drive it and she probably would have gotten it. Body was in great shape though.

do you know the info on the dealer? you happen to catch the price they wanted and what the mileage was??

I can get my dad to swing by there this week and take a gander at it for me and then depending on what he says I may look at it this weekend.

Hey I bought my T-Red from Moncks Corner. I used to live in North Charleston.

I also saw that one on Cobb Parkway and wanted to test drive it. Sad to hear that it was beat up.

Edit: I saw one in Woodstock for sale. It was a black 99. Try looking up there.

Yeah, it was called EZ Car Sales or something. I know it was EZ and it was right down the road from Johnny's Suzuki in Moncks Corner. They are actually the used car lot that sells the used stuff from Johnny's.

As for the mileage and all, I have no idea. I was only able to look inside from the window cause it was locked and all. The body looked in great condition. It's a black 98 SVT. I think they told my friend if she wanted it, it would be like $500 down. I don't know what the actual price was though. I will give them a call tomorrow and get that info for you.

Hey jc you know any better about where that other one is up in woodstock (it's a big place you know heh).

yeah, they've had that one since december apparently. both the owner and the other guy were full of crap too. says on autotrader its $5500, I walk in and hey say that's the cash price (which I was going to pay anyway) but that it's $6900 otherwise. Then they say it's one owner (autocheck says its been in 3 dealer inventorys alone haha). then they say there's been no work to the car but right on the air cleaner it's got a junkyard inventory # LOL. They finally come clean and say it's had the rack/ps pump/intake assembly/and oil pump replaced. On top of that...the a/c didn't work and then I told them I wasnt paying $5500 for a car with those kind of problems under 100k AND to not have working a/c...so he told me lowest he could do was $5600. I almost fell on the floor laughing that he went UP in price.

anyway, that's the story on that one. Oh yeah, it was super stiff shifting into 3rd from 2nd so I'm assuming that is a precursor to the 3rd gear syncro problem I hear about...

stackz, I dont know exactly where that black SVT is but IIRC it was on some road off of highway 92 near the 575 exit/entrance on 92.
