I was just curious if anyone here is competing with they're sound systems. I have been competing for about 2 months in the 151-300 stock category. I hit a 145.3 last week with two 12" HED DVC Cerwin Vega Subs and a 60X2 Lunar amp to each one.

SoundQ SVT and 2Deep2 both have competed and won IASCA world finals events in their class. There are other local competitors. rainshdw has one of the nicer installs on the boards, but I don't know if he has competed or not.

SoundQ SVT won IASCA Finals and 2Deep2 won USAC Finals for our class. Met rainshdw this weekend in Downers Grove outside Chicago, nice Sounding Car smile I know of another Contour SVT out of Wisconsin and a Contour in Washington, the State, and we all compete Sound Quality, not SPL.

I do 145 db with my 2 15's at 400 watts each.

I knew a guy who was competing who had 2 10's in a ported box in the spare tire well and could hit like 148's

Oh, and 2Deep2 has been in more mags than SoundQ SVT laugh

I'm a retired dB Dragger, not in a Tour though(not good dB drag cars) best was a 152.4 (non-wall, stock) on the dash, backed up by 151.9. All done by 2-12's and oodles of power

Had the loudest 2 12" woofer car in Ohio in 97 or 98 confused

Yes, I just went to my first (SLAP) show yesterday. I had fun...except for the 110 degree heat, yuk!! I won 1st in my class (Novice 1-600 SQ) and first in Domestic show, and Best of show, Engine...I didn't expect that one, but it was still cool!

Anthony...Thanks for everything!!! laugh laugh laugh I know we each lost about 10 pounds today tuning my car...heck you probably lost 20 judging eveyone else's Can't wait to meet up with you again.
I don't suppose I can buy that old Iasca CD anymore huh? Is the new one just as effective?
We will have to trade "test CD" info sometime.

I should start that thread...best test CD's. It might take me awhile to compile them all though...but it would be fun!

Are you referring to just the pics of my 'Tour, or all my cars??? If just the 'Tour, I have been in several but not as many as you. If you throw in the Z34 system (and its features in the July '96 Car Audio and the December '97 CarSound) I might catch you. laugh But whose toolbox is more famous?? (See the August '02 issue of AS&S for a story there laugh )

Anyway, to answer the original question: Yes I do compete with my SVT.

Christian, if you want to get a demonstration of some demo and test CD's, let's get together on Saturday in Joliet. I won't be working that show so I'll have plenty of time.
