Hi
Anybody got the smarts on why my cruise control doesn't work? Bought the car 1 month ago and the CC hasn't worked for me.

Check under the hood where the throttle body is (assuming youknow what it looks like) You will see two cables, one is throttle, the other is for the cruise control. Make sure one isn't broken off. The little plastic piece that holds it to the TB gets brittle and can break easily.. I know from experience. Other than that.. it can be many things. Unplugged.. fuse.. you don't have it at all.... etc etc. Welcome aboard, by the way.

After you do that, you can change your name. It's kinda insulting. IMHO.

Does your horn work? Clock still work?
If not, then it may be the clock spring, that operates all three.
and the name is about enough for me to say "this is the last post I help him with.... ever"

Wow, no humor to be found here. Must really love the choice car of old ladies. I only bought the thing because it was a good deal and a later model. The car is very noisy. It reminds me of the sounds my kids make when they push their matchbox cars. The plastic bumpers cause me to use caution when I come to close to a pile of snow. I wouldn't want to crack it in half. I guess its not as crappy as my Taurus but whatever ... My male member is of good size so I don't need a hyped up old lady car to make myself feel like a genuine man.

Hmmm, I think you can probably fix your cruise by STFU. This is not a good place to insult the Contour, I know a few people here that like them as much as I do. And I ram my bumper into snowbanks every time I park at my g/f's. After a few hundred (thousand?) times, it's fine.
So... go [censored] your [censored] you [censored] [censored] [censored] and buy a [censored] V-6 Mustang that many people here will run [censored] circles around, if you hate the [censored] contour so much.

Considering I like my Ford Contour, and believe someone as you just doesnt know [censored] about cars, and you got the car for a good deal of a later model, ever stop to think it was a broken car, and they sold it for cheap cus it was [censored] up because previous owner like you probaly owned it?
My bumper took ALOT of abuse, still glad it looks like a nice bumper, you want [censored], go drive a Honda Civic, with their completly plastic bumpers with no reenforcement.
