I tried search but they all talked about the resistor pack and fuses both of which are fine. Ok heres the deal I have replaced the fan switch three times now. Everytime the high function will quit working then eventually the 3rd speed quits working. This time none of the speeds work. So I am going to put another switch in, but I need a fix for this. HELP.

Does the low fan still work or no fans at all.
I had an issue and my ECT was at fault. It couldn't read the temp properly at times so high fans never came on.
Changed it out and fans work great.

Depending on your car year it may be covered under a recall as the fan resistor seems to go out letting to much current get to switch. I had this problem in my 96 contour gl. The resistor was on fire wall but was accesible by removing glove box. I also had trouble with the wiring from the switch to the resistor as the wires were also frayed from being overheated. As I said earlier this was all covered under recall. Good luck and I hope I was some help.

OK I thought the fan only uses the resistors for lower speed functions? But mine always quits working on high first. I replaced the switch this afternoon and the plug was burned badly so I replaced it with female spade crimps that slide onto the terminals. Maybe I just had a bad connection from the first switch so consequently it had a bad connection and heated up and ruined the next switches? Its a pain to replace but with the warmer weather I need a fan.
