I don't have a K & N on yet, but do have a Conical high flow air filter (that I am about to replace with a Round Tapered K & N). I didn't notice a huge gain, but in the higher RPM ranges, it does feel a little more peppy, and definitely has an aggressive "roar" sound, again at higher RPM's.
I know that it is letting in more airflow, as the computer had to readjust to the new intake. But as for many people's claims of huge 20 hp gains from an intake, I don't think that is realistic.
Just just bought a really nice K & N conical: http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/knfilters/details?part_num=RX-4730&ajr_skey=c4ea58297fcfcaea460ad0a194e825cd
AJusa.com definitely had the best prices. I figured out what I wanted from the K & N website, then searched on several websites. It was at least $7-8 less plus free shipping!

not bad, but the guy never oiled the gauze filter. he just took it right out of the bag and put it on. thats why it worked worse than the 10 dollar one.

You are kidding me, right ?
K&N Filters are pre-oiled and no additional oil is needed when they come out of the bag.

What goes in must come out. The air going in Faster needs an exhaust system to get rid of it, faster The RU 3530 is a nice filter by K&N. If you don't have a heatshield (how I had it for a while) the car can actually stall from too much heatsoak. Happened to em once or twice on the hottest days of the year. But now I have cold air intake

Did you use the RU 3530 with your CC intake?

I know you are right. My budget and mechanical experience and knowledge are limited. The intake mod I could do, messing with the exhaust I can not.
Does anyone know of any cheap/ easy exhaust upgrades? ha ha right?

Is there any one in particular that would be the most sufficient? I don't plan on messing with any heat shields, what's suggested?
