ive been studing alot lately on different efi and ignition systems and trying to effectively rule out haveing a chip burned. id really like the engines parameters to be fully tuneable. fuel controllers are pretty cheap these days but our options are limited for ignition control. however i have an idea that could use some negative reinforcement so i thought id ask you guys.

msd dis-4 with a compatable (non ford)(non wasted spark) coil pack. there is a compatable msd adapter that can be used for the v6 dis mustang i believe (if so use that).

msd-4 will read from ford oem cps sensor or have a crank underdrive pulley machined with magnetic pick up to control spark. many efi (spark included) standalones use the crank pulley method and have been sucessful. and its more simple.

use (non ford) coil pack instead of the contoru coil pack and rule out the stock ignition system. a stand alone fmu will inherently be needed with this setup as well. what you guys think.

basically msd dis 4 box, compatible adapter to compatible v6 coil pack, and stadalone fuel system.

maybe 2500 at most for this setup. anything im forgeting.

flame suit on.

I hope your flame suit is the new and improved version

Why bother when you can buy this, which gives you control of ALL ECU parameters. Then you can blow your engine and spend the remaining money dropping in a 3L

MSD DIS-4 with 2 8912 tach adapter and a DIGITAL BTM will give you timing control if you want to avoid SCT.(why I don't know). Make sure your tach adapters are lot number 108178 or later. If they aren't they won't be compatible with Fords.
