I noticed this on ebay and I would like to know your opinions. If it is legit, would it be worth while for my car? Thanks, Stephen

I would assume that its a scam. Notice that the dyno plot wasnt even for a contour, if it was real at all. All this probably does is make you run more rich. I'd save my money and get the real deal.

It's a scam. Buy package of resistors from Radio Shack at a few cents each, and sell those resistors on eBay as ??Performance Chips? at $15 to $20 each, with instructions on how to install them across the IAT sensor, and unsupportable claims of performance gains to be had by doing so. If a five??cent resistor could really improve the car's performance in any way, without producing some other more significant adverse effect, then that's how the car would come from the factory.

I can't believe that after being a member of this site for over three years you still have to ask that.

the resistor showed a 25 hp loss on a ford ranger. Theres dyno results to prove it. Run a search if you want to see it.

This topic of "superchargers", "chips", or whatnot from e-bay has been gone over so many times, and they're all mostly scams! If you want the real thing, buy from a trusted, known company, not e-bay. Anyways, if your getting a chip, do it last, chips should be your last mod or else it will mess everything up.
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

Yes, it is a scam. As someone wrote, all it is is a resistor that someone purchased at Radio Shack for .10$ and is now selling for 20$+ on Ebay. All is does is fool the ECU into thinking the intake charge is cooler than it really is....Oh, and you'll have to keep resetting the ECU as it will learn it's way around this "mod" rather quickly. Not worth the hassle, IMHO.
