Ok, 2 parts actually:

1) I ordered the one for the premium sound system even though I don't have "premium" written on the speaker grills. Please tell me I did good by doing that. I thought I read that in one of the threads I found while searching.

2) The harness has one connector on one end and plain ole wires on the other. If I read the directions right, the connector is for the amp and the wiring gets spliced by the amp, or am I backwards over here?

Thanks for your help.

Well if you bought the premium sound harness, then you bought the harness to integrate your factory amp with the aftermarket radio. The harness you are looking for is called a Premium Bypass Harness and will have 3 parts. One part is for the power wire hook ups, the second part is for the speaker wire hook ups, and the third harness is to bypass the factory amp. I have these harness for $10 to all the CEG'ers. email me at jason@asg-co.com if you want one. You will just need to return that other harness to whom ever you bought it from

Oh. I ordered the amp bypass harness from Crutchfield like everyone in the search engine mentioned. I guess I'll have to just figure it out. Thanks.

The connector plugs into the factory wiring AFTER the stock amp (behind the glovebox). Splice the other end to your new HU's speaker outputs.

Another harness (supplied in the kit) is used for switched 12+, unswitched 12+, ground, illumination, power antenna, and factory amp turn-on lead.

DUDE! Thank you! You just summed up exactly what I needed to know. I also was trying to figure out why there was a 2nd harness, which I don't need.

Thanks again. smile

Sure no problem.

That other harness is the speaker connections for the amp-less factory system. You won't need it. Crutchfield for some reason supplies both in their installation kit.
