side marker wiring

anybody know if the resistors in the A6 sidemarker How To have to be 20 watt? I have called every Radioshack we have and the 2 electrical supply places I could find. All they have are 30 ohm, 10 watt. Any suggestions?

It all depends what you want to do... If you want them to just blink with the turn signals then it's just positive (it's blue or brown or orange... geuss and check) to negative (black)... Like i said, it all depends on how you want them to operate

i want to do them so they come on half lit w/ parking lights and fully lit w/ the turn signal. Same way as in the how to

Blah... That's going to look ugly with those things lit up all the time... Just my opinion.

I agree... I would just make them work with turn signals... easier and much more attractive looking IMO.

ok it does sound much easier. so to be clear, for just turn signal i do not need the resistors or diodes right? just splice the wire in?

I did mine a few weeks ago without any resistor. THey just blink with the signals or parking lights. Having them stay turned on at all times is officially RICE!
