Here we go the fun has begun...

I got my wires the other night, everything in the picture below was only $150.00

I had a few ideas for mounting the EQ, none of them worked. I was going to put it in the glovebox but it was too big. Then I thought I could take out the passanger airbag and put it under there. I kinda wanted to keep it up front, but I put it on the trunk lid.

I got the CAP in today, but it turned out to be more of a pain then I wanted.

I hooked it up right, but the display didn't work. SO, being the person I am I took it apart to see if I could fix it. I got it apart and the two wires that were there were cut, so I put them back together and put the cap back together. I hooked it up and no luck it didn't work. I took it back apart and tested it. It is just the display that isn't working. The rest of the cap is fine. So I am going to see what it will cost to get a new display for it.

Today was another day of work on the Contour, not that I mind at all. I got all the Amps put on an MDF base. I had an idea for how I wanted the amps but who am I trying to kid here. I don't have a 64 Galaxy (I wish I did), I have a Contour. At first I wanted the amps to sit like they are in the last picture but that doesn't leave me the room I want for the box. So the tops of the Audiobahn amps will be brought up to the top edge of the trunk opening, and the Kenwoods will stay like they are. I wanted to bring all four amps up, but once again it is a room issue. The CAP is in the spare tire well and that is where it will stay. I just hope this gives me the room I want for the box. I do have a few other ideas that I have seen done but I have another week until I start the box. This will give me the time I need to work with the amps.

You will just have to wait and see. At this point I don't really know how the amps will be set up.

The amp layout looks just like Anthony's car.

Sweet setup man.

I just never really got into the whole audio thing for myself. Just never really became a priority to me.

That isn't how they are going to stay. I am having room issues trying to get everything to fit in the trunk. My idea is to put them on the floor behind the front seat. With the caps on the ends they fit in there like a glove. I will see about having plexi glass covers made so they don't get scratched up. I got the idea from the Kenwood Looney Cruiser it is on the Kenwood web site.

Well here we go. I have been asked of pictures. With the NOPI event coming up I have been working realy hard on getting this done to the point that I can use it for comp. I still need to hook the EQ up and get my component speakers too.

This is the rear of the box, and yes it really stick out that far. It is 8FtCu

The CAP sits in the spare tire well. With a box this bg it is useless to have a tire in there. there is no way to get in there.

Here is the front of the box. I am waiting for a few things to dry before I fire this thing up.

There is no room in the trunk to lay these down flat so I had to mount them on the back of the box. I don't think it looks too bad but a little fiber glass work will make it look better.
