I just wanted to let everyone know on here that SHM is an awful place to deal with. Dont think about getting their headers. They arent worth the price and you cant get oil filter out without scraping your arm and hands up and about 30 minutes worth of pulling and tugging(it also requires the use of a smaller oil filter that still wont fit). The reason I am telling you guys this is that their service is awful. I bought a custom programmed chip from them this summer. When I put this chip in I noticed an actual big loss in power. It almost felt as though my secondaries never kicked in. I bought the chip to try and help my problem of running too rich ( which later turns out to be a bad O2 sensor) I did everything with sanding down the contacts to get a good connection like the directions said. Well this past winter on rough roads my car would basically shut down for a second because the chip was not making good contact even with it taped in place. I get around to talking with a SHM service to ask if they would reprogram the chip because how noticably awful my car was running with it in and because of the bad contact it was making. The guy says he will talk to Sean and get back to me in a couple days. I waited a week and no reply. I call again and the guy says that he didnt get a chance to talk to him. So finally I here from him and Sean told him that I was basically out of luck. For the small cost it takes them to program it and the money I spent (Over $300) on it I would think that they would be a little more helpful with at least reprogramming it since it didnt help my car run any leaner or anything. It just ran like crap and stalled while idling more often. I even have their headers.
I just wanted to let everyone out there know what they will be dealing with if you choose Sean Hyland Motorsports.
