Hello all, i posted this awhile back, but hadnt really been a problem much until now. My steering feels loose, i thought before the steering wheel was turning without the wheels, but i checked and the wheels do respond when i turn the steering wheel. But i went driving last night, and the car was sliding all over the road, couldnt keep it straight, wheels seem to turn very easily (ie. when going over a bump) and then the steering wheel turns too and i have to steady it...any ideas on what i can check? I already ended up in one snow bank last night and almost hit a salt truck LOL Dont want another repeat of that.

Its a 1996 Ford Contour 2.0L 4cyl Zetec w/Auto transmission @ 220,900kms

Thanks,
Ken

It needs tie rods and balljoints.
If you break either of those, you'll be in trouble.
