I see in the archives that this has been brought up before, but all the info still has loose ends.

So, I was wondering what would be required to convert the hubs to a five bolt pattern?

Has anyone had any experience with this mod?

I would like to bolt some Mille Miglia Evo5s, 18 inchers, up to a CSVT, but as I'm sure everyone is awair, it's a no-go because of the bolts. So make the car fit the wheels right?

Thanks!

You can, but I think it involves replacing the axle and the hubs. I think it would cost more than it is worth to do, kinda like transfering a Duratech into a Zetec. There are plenty of nice 4x108 rims that would work just fine.

Hmmmmmmmm

Darn! I really love those wheels!

I guess I WILL have to keep looking, oh well.

The problem with the four bolt pattern, that I find is that there are many options for custom wheels (as you say), but they are all aimed at the ricer crowd.

I want a wheel with a distinctly American look. Something tough with depth to it, and definetly a five spoke, as in a mucle car idea. (As images of Mustangs danced through their heads ) The stock CSVT rims sort of have the look I am after, but 16s look punny in those wheel wells!

Maybe i am looking in the wrong places. I know this is a redundant question, but is that "Mustang five spoke" look available in a larger FWD wheel?

The 2003 Focus SVT wheels are 5 spoke and they look great on a 'tour, IMO. They're 17s so I don't know if that would still be too small for you. But gives you an option.
