I have these ready to put on come early spring. Bought them after researching Tire Rack.

For those who have them, what's the verdict? TIA

Sounds good. When I got these tires, saw they were made in Germany. I believe Goodyear offered these in Europe for a couple years before they were available in the states. From what I've read, they handle well, are just a tad more comfortable than S -03's, and great in the wet. Obviously, these tires were made for the Autobahn.......

Thats true they are made in Germany and they come OEM on a few VW's

Wet traction is unbelievable. Just TRY to make them hydroplane !! These tires have a great balance of performance and comfort. I wish the sidewalls were a little stiffer, but the comfort given the performance is awesome!!

Good purchase if you need a daily driven tire thats also a great performer. You won't be disappointed!

all the magazine reviews say this is NOT an autocross tire. there are better choices. as a daily summer driver it gets rave reviews from everyone.

If you need to satisfy both those needs in one tire get the Falken Azenis. Won't last that long, but it's your best choice in terms of performance/daily drivability.

I have the GSD3's on FSVT wheels (215/45/17) for everyday and I have the stock E1's for auto x.

Thanks for the advice! I have stock alloy six-spoke SE rims (15's ) for winter tires and just picked up a set of E1's for my summer rims/autocrossing. I was looking on tire rack and was thinking about getting the Kuhmo Ecsta Supras, but I need to do a lil more research. I want a tire that is good for summer daily driving and autocrossing. Also, I would like the tread to last maybe more than one summer! I have a month or so yet...
Sorry to hijack the thread

Just for anyone else looking for info, here's the Tire Rack ratings on the GSD3

The only crappy thing about the Azenis is that you can only get them in 205/55/16 or 215/45/16...
