i have found an article in Muscle Mustangs and other fast fords, about the oil pan problem with the SVT's. It showed a way that looked good at solving the lack of oil in the pan at the pickup. As soon as i can get it scanned in i will show you guys.

Very interesting. I wonder if anymore of these kits are still around. I wouldnt mine doing this modifcation to my oil pan. It seems like inexpensive insurance for the Duratec.

The SHOShop oil pan patch is old news.
Still does not (or did not for that matter) help.
There are very old posts and emails from actual race teams with documented proof that no matter what they did to the oil pan it did not solve the problem. The oil pressure still fluctuated at times.
Only when adding the accusump did the pressure fluctuation issues finally go away. (Dan Nixon posted some of the first emails)

The shop itself is definitely around, I just spoke with them a few weeks ago.

I thought the biggest prob. was the lack of oil draining from the heads.

Yes.
Why do you think an accumulator full of pressurized oil helps...

thats what i was gonna add, if you could get the oil to drain back faster and have one of those modified pans, that might help with the problem.

If the heads drained properly, the additional baffles would not be needed except under the most extreme racing conditions.
