I just fixed my brake drag without having to rplace any parts (which works out good for me since I'm a cheapo).

Mainly the passenger side was drgging mostly. I have a '00 CSVT so it had the updated brake cable. I pulled the top off the rubber bellows that covers the cable at the end of the housing. I then filled this with oil (I used motor oil). Then carefully reattach. When the brake is pulled, it compresses the bellows and forces the oil into the cable housing. I also just put a piece of rubber tubing around the end of the return spring, so that it pushes on the "caliper arm" a little harder. So far so good.

There are some brake clips from Ford you can buy that keep tension on the emergency brake cable arms on the caliper.
