I'm putting a 3.0L hybrid into a 95 mystique and had some questions about some addional mods I'd like to make. I'm adding the Y pipe mod. I'm looking to add some mods to the 3.0L taking advantage of the additional HP without breaking the bank. I need a new clutch and the other mods are icing on the cake. I know I'm asking a for a lot of info. Any help would be much appreciated.
Clutch- What's the best bang for the buck? I've seen Centerforce, Grizzly, Sachs?
LSD- Again best bang for buck? Quaife, Torsen are there others?
MAF There are so many options with intake it's dizzying. Do you need a bigger MAF if you are going to add a K&N intake? WIll the intake alone do much to the performance of the vehicle?
Strut kits? I'd like to add springs to lower the body and new struts. BAT Euro kit? Koni?
Are chips worth the money? What works best Diablo or Superchip?

Searching holds the answers to all your questions.
FAQ's pinned at the top of the various sections hold many of the answers.
Start in the 3L forum. Then check out the Transmission Forum. You'll find MAF info all over - no you don't need it Suspension Stickies will answer the spring/strut questions, and if not, searching suspension DEFINATELY will. Chips are worth it, preference seems to be Superchip, search and you shall find.

Good to see you made your way over here from automotiveforums.com. The knowledgebase over there is pretty weak since nobody has a clue.
Anyways...SPEC is by far the best bank for the buck clutch. It does make a chatter, but nobody really seems to mind. Ive been extremely happy with my SPEC Stage 3.
Quaife and Torsen are the only real LSD's for this car. Phantom makes one too, but I classify it as junk. Quaife and Torsen are both great units. Id say whichever one you can get cheaper would suit you best.
An upgraded MAF isnt required with a 3.0L. You wont be anywhere near maxing the flow capabilities.
IMO, the koni struts are probably the stiffest struts (besides probably the Leda if your willing to dish out a couple thousand) money can buy for this platform. The BAT struts are reasonably price while also giving a nice stance to the car.
A chip is only as good as its tuner. Most people here go with Arizona Dyno Chip to tune their chip. They sell the turbo kits for our cars and Keyser on these forums owns an SVT contour and tunes the chips, so he knows the platforms pretty well. You can contact them at www.arizonadynochip.com.
