I have a question. Can anyone tell me if I took the Hood, fenders, and grill from a 96 Contour can they replace the same on a 98 contour. A friend of mine wrescked his 98 and I have the 96 with a blown engine. I guess what I am asking can the entire front cap be interchanged without major work? Thanks

If you called a bone yard, and asked them they would be better abled to tell you for sure.

everything pretty muchs fits up front except for the header panel...and thats a pretty BIG EXCEPT ...with some creative welding and cutting it could be done, and would be the first time...on this site anyways...its been attempted a few times...but never finished,go ahead be the first one

LOL, I laugh at that statement, sorry but its funny, the guy at the junkyard I got my spoiler from tried telling me and my dad the decklid off a 99 Stique wouldn't fit my 97 (and the pre98 lids fit post98s, and vis versa) so they really don't know much, at least this guy didn't.

The junkyards only have limited knowledge on the specifics of a cars year-to-year changes and body styles. Thats pretty much up to you to figure that stuff out before you go.
They will most likely give you false information if you ask them about switching the parts.
