I'm a co-op as well. Mine would be 1.302 or around there. Can't wait until 3.0+

I'd really like to get myself up to 2.5 and maintain that throughout my career.

Debt to income? Clarify debt. Consumer debt is ZERO. Mortgage and car payment is a different story.

3.75 here. No consumer debt, only mortgage (~130k) and car debt (a lease and a loan - ~25k in all).

will be between 2.04 and 2.45 next year depending on bonus...

but once my 2 year committment is done, it could easily jump to 4, or even 8 if i switch firms.

Mine is 1.73.

Edit: A better question would be how many years of salary would it take to purchase the average priced home in your community. This factors in the cost of living.

In my case, I make enough in 18 months to purchase the average price home in my community. (Of course, this is impossible, since there are other demands for money than a home.) However, it does give a good estimate of wealth adjusted for cost of living.

Life is good. Thirty-something and very happy despite some physical challenges.
