Right now my 99 Contour SVT has a cheap jvc head unit wired into the stock amp. It sounds good. I'm running a sub via a sub amp hooked directly to the jvc via rca cables.
I want to put in an Eclipse 8022 dvd/mp3/cd video head unit in but it only has RCA outputs. Is there a way to hook this up to the stock Amp? The Eclipse stats say it puts out 8 volts with a 55 ohm line out impedance (not sure what the 55 ohms means) and thought output was normaly 1 volt.
I've read all the comments about the stock amp being lousy, but its powering my component speakers in an admirable fashion and I don't feel like running another set of RCA's to the back and running speaker wires back up front.
