Well, do they? I wanted to get some new speakers, as because my "premium audio" ones suck big balls.

They will fit just fine, pull the door panels off and stick the new ones right in. I'd check the Car Audio forum for more details and specifics.

The Pioneer 6x8 will drop in. I don't know about other brands. You can also buy (if you look around for them) speaker wire adapters so that you don't have to cut the factory wires.

The 6x8s should drop right in. IIRC there was someone had a pair of 6x8s who said it was not deep enough but I can't remember which ones they were. BTW, if you're interested I have an almost new set of Pioneer 6x8s with rotatable tweeter for sale. TheGSRGuy@aol.com

The factory speakers are all 6x8's (at least in the mondeos they are, I'd assume its the same with the contours) so you shouldn't have any trouble with aftermarket 6x8's. To be safe, you might want to take one of your door trims off just before you go to the car audio place to buy your speakers, so you can test some while you're there and make sure they're not too deep.

6x8s/5x7s should drop in. Most 6x9s will fit in front without mods, but there are a few that can't (Infinity Kappa 6x9s).

Would all 5x7's fit, given that their depth is the right size?

i just put infinity 5x7's in my svt(rear)they fit right in just fine, but all of the bolt holes didn't line up..i just screwed a self threading screw in the holes that didn't match up(very easy to screw into the thin inner panel)and they work just fine...a little more work, but well worth it and easy to do..they sound 100 times better than the pathetic stock speakers..and best of all i got the infinity's on ebay for $20...

I've got Pioneer ts6768 6X8 (just put them in today)and they fit perfectly but you do have to change the speaker connecters. They are a good clean sounding speaker (three way design cicuit city $99.
